"The summer of 2007 saw me heading off to Malawi for a month, to work in a school for AIDS orphans. To sum up my feelings and experiences in a single page is impossible and so i will not even attempt this. Instead i will present the facts-the harsh reality that these brave africans face each day, and more importantly the future; what we can do to bring a small amount of hope and light into the school" - Steve Moore (youth worker)

Jegola is not just a school for the teenagers, it is also home. Most students live at Jegola free of charge. However there is simply not enough room to comfortably accomodate the students. The girls have their own "hostel", but as you can see from the photos it is not big enough. Eight girls sleep in the room you see below...

These first two photos are taken where the boys hostel used to stand. However due to poor construction and lack of materials it soon crumbled and now lies in ruins. Now over twenty boys sleep in the classroom on a concrete floor with little shelter from the elements.

During the last week of May Steve Moore and Matt Lawrence headed out to Snowdonia for a crazy fundraising task. To climb the highest mountain in the UK five times in five days.As if that wasn't hard enough they were to do it on a budget of £45 each- the average yearly wage of a Malawian. Suprisingly (even to them) they succeeded and raised over £1000 for the project! Below are some photos of the adventure!!
