Hi, my name is Melanie and I am the Minister at Beechen
Cliff Methodist Church.  I guess if you have got this far
then you really are quite interested in this church,
however, if you are looking for the ‘perfect’ church you
may have to look elsewhere!  We are pretty much a mixed
bunch trying to make sense of life and all it throws at us.
We all come with our likes and dislikes, differing
interests and needs and yet together we have grown and
continue to grow into an extended family.  Worship is a
blend of traditional and modern with the emphasis on the
family.  In my opinion church should be a place where all can feel welcome, included and valued.  The first Sunday each month is very special because it provides an early, intimate, informal Communion Service which is then followed by an all age celebratory worship which concludes with an opportunity for refreshments before those who are able to stay partake in a bring and share lunch followed by a topical discussion ( usually led by me but not always).  It sounds a lot but it really is great, with a wonderful informal family atmosphere, and my home-made chilli always proves popular!
"Our building is used throughout the week with something on offer for almost everybody and we are always open to new ideas.  Although totally biased, the church is very beautiful with modern facilities providing access for all."
I am a self-confessed pastoral Minister and although also responsible for two further Methodist churches, the pastoral care offered by the church is extremely high and something that we put a lot of energy into.

We are by no means a stagnant church always trying to listen to what God is saying and doing our very best to be obedient whilst acknowledging that we all have our comfort zones and moving out of them isn’t necessarily easy!

If you come you will be made very welcome.  If it is on a Sunday when I am leading worship do make yourself known and say ‘hi’.  If we are not what you are seeking then all I pray is that you never give up seeking!

Every Blessing

Rev Melanie Reed.
